As a company who values the importance of organizations giving back to the community, EthoSource does just that in return. Recently, the pre-owned office furniture company donated an office full of refurbished office furniture to the Berks Sheriff’s K-9 Unit as a way to simply say thanks.
An office makeover was the perfect gift for an organization that has been working in an assortment of hand-me down office furniture gathered from offices across the county. The Sheriff’s Unit received all like-new, refurbished furniture, valued over $10,000, from EthoSource, including a storage tower containing mini lockers and bins, a conference table, workstations and chairs.
The donation was inspired by EthoSource Project Manager, Sherri Moore, who saw a demonstration put on by Deputy Sheriff Kyle D. Pagerly and his K-9 partner, Jynx, back in May 2011. About a month and a half later, Sheriff Pagerly was killed while on duty. After hearing the news, Moore collaborated with EthoSource owner, John Gallen, to make a donation to the unit for their constant efforts to keep the community safe. “These deputies are out there putting their lives on the line every day,” Gallen says. “They deserve a nice place to come back to and to do the work they need to do in the office.”
